Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has said that his side must beat Galatasaray in their Champions League match on Wednesday evening.
The Gunners suffered a 2-0 defeat in their Group D opener against Borussia Dortmund and Cazorla admits that they cannot afford to slip up again.
"It was a bad game [in Dortmund]," he told Arsenal's official website. "Now we are fully aware that we are almost obliged to win the next Champions League game because there may be problematic times for us [if we don't] so we'd better win.
"It's true that Arsenal have a great record when it comes to the group stage. However, all that history doesn't count now. The most important thing for Arsenal right now is to win the next game and that is going to change the scenario completely. Once we go through the group stage it becomes even more difficult to win games.
"Unfortunately for the past two seasons we've faced Bayern Munich, the toughest opponent [in the last 16], but I think that if we carry on and work hard we can go far in the competition."
Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
