Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs has insisted that his side were only deserving of a draw after they were held by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
A late own goal from Alex Iwobi saw the Gunners having to settle for a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium, and while Arsenal improved during the second half, Gibbs acknowledged that their performance on Wednesday night had not been good enough.
The 27-year-old told BT Sport: "When you are 2-1 up and you have 20 minutes to go, you want to finish the job so obviously it is disappointing. Going a goal down and then coming back into the game as well but it is something we can learn from and we want to improve.
"I felt that the performance could have been technically better and more dangerous so overall, a draw is what we deserved."
Arsenal must now beat Basel and hope that PSG slip up against Ludogorets if they are to finish in first place in Group A.
