Glenn Hoddle has claimed that Arsenal are not good enough to win the Champions League this season.
The Gunners play Hoddle's former club Monaco in the first leg of their last-16 tie at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow night.
Despite the team's impressive record of qualifying for the competition 17 years in a row, Hoddle believes that Arsene Wenger's side do not have what it takes to go all the way and lift the trophy.
"Arsenal's side are much the same as Arsenal have been in recent years. Against the lesser sides they look fantastic - and you may see that side of them against Monaco - but I think when it comes to the big games against the big sides they can get rolled over," he told Sky Sports News.
"Wenger will be disappointed if he ends his time at Arsenal without a Champions League title. For a side of their stature only one Champions League final is not enough, and only one trophy in nine years is not enough – Wenger will know that."
Hoddle played for Monaco between 1987 and 1991 before moving to Swindon Town.
