Bacary Sagna has said that Arsenal have begun "fighting" in a bid to clinch a place in next season's Champions League.
The Gunners are just a point clear of Everton in fourth place in the Premier League table with three matches still to play this campaign.
The defender told the club's website: "I hope the best is still to come because we still have games to play. It was good to stick together because we were playing quite badly and dropped many points.
"But it was about time to wake up and that's what we did recently in our games. We're fighting a bit a more and we're helping each other a bit more as well.
"Now we're fighting back and we will take it step by step. With Wigan we managed to show some character, it was good to come back to win the [FA Cup] semi-final and I think it's going to give some power to the team to the end."
Arsenal face Newcastle United on Monday.
