Danny Welbeck has claimed that Arsenal must not dwell too much on the past ahead of the Champions League clash with Monaco.
The Gunners welcome the Ligue 1 side to the Emirates Stadium tomorrow night for the first leg of their last-16 tie.
Arsenal have failed to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament since 2010, but Welbeck believes that he and his teammates must not think about their recent failures if they want to make it through to the next round.
"You can't be looking into the past too much about what you could have done, it is about making things right and learning from that experience and taking it into the next game," he told the club's official website.
"We know that it's going to be a tough tie for us, it's going to be played over two legs so we're not just going to be focused on this one. But obviously getting the right result will set us up nicely for the next tie."
Welbeck has scored seven goals in 26 games for Arsenal so far this season.
