After watching his side book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a 3-0 victory over Olympiacos in Greece, Arsene Wenger has insisted that it could be Arsenal's "lucky year" in the Champions League.
Needing a victory to ensure their progression, Arsenal wrapped up all three points thanks to a Olivier Giroud hat-trick - his first for the club - at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskakis.
"In the last three weeks we lost Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez. With all the other injuries not many people gave us a chance, but we are a real team and you could see that today," Wenger told reporters.
"To score without conceding a goal is not easy. It is a special night for us. We needed something special and when you can deliver that you can create a positive memory for the rest of the season.
"Maybe it is a lucky year for us in the Champions League, you never know."
As a result of finishing second in Group F, Arsenal could face Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Wolfsburg or Zenit St Petersburg in the next round.
