Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that the club may not make any new signings before their Champions League qualifier in two weeks' time.
The Gunners have had two bids rejected for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and have been linked with a move for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
However, Arsenal are unlikely to close out a deal for either player before August 12 registry deadline.
Wenger told reporters: "Let's count on what is here first of all and if we can add something, we will do.
"It is very difficult to predict that it will all be sorted out before we play in the Champions League qualifier.
"What we want to do is have enough quality to achieve it with the players we have at the moment. If we can have some more in before that, it is even better."
The Gunners have only signed striker Yaya Sanogo this summer.
