Aaron Ramsey: 'More to come from Wales'

Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey insists that there is more to come from the team following their semi-final exit at Euro 2016.

Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has vowed that there is more to come from the team following their semi-final exit at Euro 2016 on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old played a major role in helping Wales to an unlikely spot in the last four, but suspension forced him to watch on from the sidelines as Portugal ran out 2-0 winners in Lyon to reach the final.

Ramsey insists that the overriding feeling from their campaign should be one of pride, and believes that it is the start of a bright future for Chris Coleman's side.

"We can be proud of what we have achieved and I still think there is more to come from us," he told the London Evening Standard.

"Hopefully we can keep building on this now. We have beaten some really good teams in this competition now and we have proved we are more than capable of standing up for ourselves and being counted.

"If we said before the tournament that Wales were going to get to the semi-finals, a lot of people would have laughed at that but we have achieved it and hopefully we can keep building."

Ramsey also hinted that he could miss the start of Arsenal's Premier League season due to his involvement in the Euros.
