Wales manager Chris Coleman has expressed his belief that midfielder Aaron Ramsey has become a more mature footballer.
Coleman's side begin their qualification campaign with a trip to Group B minnows Andorra on Tuesday evening.
Ramsey has impressed for Arsenal in recent weeks, and Coleman is confident that the 23-year-old will take his club form into the international arena.
"He's a great player, he really is," Coleman told talkSPORT. "He's matured off the ball as well. In possession he's not so frivolous.
"He's always had lovely balance and great touch. He's such an exciting player. Most games he plays for us, he dictates the pace of the game."
Ramsey has scored eight goals in 30 appearances for Wales.
