Aaron Ramsey has admitted that watching his German teammates at Arsenal win the World Cup has inspired him to drive Wales to success.
Lukas Podolski, Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker were part of Joachim Low's triumphant team in Brazil, and Ramsey has revealed that he is now determined to experience an international competition himself, starting with Euro 2016.
He told reporters: "I am not jealous or anything of them winning the tournament. But the big thing about watching those games was thinking about hopefully being there with Wales and what it would be to go to a World Cup or a European Championship.
"Me and Gareth Bale achieved things at club level last season and you do want that same feeling with the national team.
"You have a taste of success with your club and you want to reach as high as you can with your country too, and that would mean qualifying for a World Cup or Euros. That is what I want to do."
Wales face Andorra in their opening qualifying game on Tuesday.
