Shkodran Mustafi has claimed that Barcelona's shock collapse at Roma "came at the perfect time" as Arsenal prepare to face CSKA Moscow in their Europa League quarter-final second leg.
Barca went into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final boasting a 4-1 advantage, only to lose 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico to crash out on away goals.
Arsenal boast the same advantage over CSKA going into Thursday night's game at the VEB Arena, and Mustafi believes that any complacency that may have creeped into the Gunners' ranks has been stamped out due to the events in Rome.
"I did watch [the game], I thought Roma did a brilliant job," the Germany international told reporters. "It's not easy against a side like Barcelona who can always score.
"I think [Roma] did a brilliant job. It's not surprising, this happens often, we have to make sure it doesn't happen to us tomorrow.
"It came at the perfect time for us. It's football, you are never safe. You have to be very careful about how you show up. I think the game we saw yesterday was at the perfect time for us to show us we have to concentrate."
Arsenal go into Thursday night's game on the back of six successive victories in all competitions.
