Wenger: Arsenal need 'top-class' display

Manager Arsene Wenger has acknowledged that Arsenal are under pressure to deliver results in the Europa League.

Wenger and Arsenal are eager to earn a return to the Champions League but with the Gunners currently 13 points off the pace in the Premier League, the North London outfit will need to lift the Europa League trophy in May.

Arsenal host CSKA Moscow in the first leg of their quarter-final tie on Thursday night, and Wenger has admitted that his side need to deliver a "top-class" performance.

At a press conference, the Frenchman told reporters: "We play against a team who has done well in Europe so we certainly need a top-class performance.

"There is some extra pressure on us to do extremely well in this competition but that's part of being where we are. It's an opportunity we want to take.

"We don't live in dreamland. We are in the quarter-final and have to go step by step."

Midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has claimed that there are "no easy teams" left at the last-eight stage of the competition.
