Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has labelled Danny Welbeck an "exceptional" player following the forward's crucial strike against CSKA Moscow in the Europa League.
The England World Cup hopeful found a way through from the Gunners' first effort on target of the quarter-final second leg at a pivotal moment in the tie.
Arsenal trailed by two goals on the night and were at risk of seeing their 4-1 advantage from the reverse fixture completely evaporate, only for Welbeck to exchange passes with Mohamed Elneny and clinically finish past Igor Akinfeev 75 minutes in.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Wenger said: "I would say, above all, the qualities of Danny Welbeck... when your back's against the wall, he looks like he has that extra special motivation in his body and in his head, that can give you something special.
"That's something really exceptional and that you do not find in many players."
Aaron Ramsey went on to add a late second for Arsenal to make it 2-2 at the CSKA Arena and 6-3 on aggregate.
