Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has declared that his side are desperate to enjoy a long run in the FA Cup this season.
The Gunners are still in the competition following a topsy-turvy 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Sunday, a game which saw both sides lead in a frantic finale.
Arteta thinks that Arsenal must seize the initiative in an effort to win some silverware after showing character to stay alive at the Liberty Stadium.
He told the club's official website: "It's a great chance to win a trophy and we don't want to miss it.
"We kept going and showed a lot of character to get back into the game, score and go ahead. But then we conceded a sloppy one again.
"I think we were the better team. We dominated possession better than them and created more chances. We deserved to win the game and that's why we're disappointed but we're on a good run."
A third-round replay against Swansea at the Emirates has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 16.
