Sadio Mane has given Southampton a 1-0 lead over Arsenal at St Mary's in the Premier League this afternoon.
Graziano Pelle had the first chance of the match as Dusan Tadic got the better of Per Mertesacker before crossing in for the striker, but his header went just wide.
Arsenal quickly responded, with Alexis Sanchez trying to drill the ball in from 20 yards out before Mathieu Debuchy also had a shot, but both of their efforts were kept out by Fraser Forster.
The Gunners continued to dominate, and came close to taking the lead 20 minutes in when Tomas Rosicky burst down the right and crossed in for the unmarked Santi Cazorla, but Forster punched his clear.
Despite the visitors creating the majority of the chances, it was Southampton who opened the scoring as Sadio Mane got in behind Laurent Koscielny before Wojciech Szczesny came off his line, allowing the Southampton man to lob the ball over the keeper, while Mertesacker could not get back in time to clear the ball.
Southampton could have doubled their lead before the break, but Szczesny denied James Ward-Prowse before Pelle blasted the rebound over the crossbar.
