Arsenal are leading Cardiff City 1-0 at half time as the sides meet in the Premier League this afternoon, thanks to a first-half header from Aaron Ramsey.
The away side almost took the lead after just two minutes when Jack Wilshere collected the ball from Ramsey outside the box, before unleashing a wild shot that cannoned back off the crossbar much to the dismay of the England midfielder.
The referee had to oversee a lengthy delay soon after when Per Mertesacker picked up a troublesome injury, which saw the German centre-back needing treatment for a bleeding head.
Cardiff spurned a great opportunity straight after the stoppage when Kevin Theophile-Catherine whipped in a cross for Fraizer Campbell, but the striker headed over with Jordan Mutch coming in behind.
Arsenal were in control of possession throughout the half and they finally took the lead through Ramsey, who got onto a cross from Mesut Ozil to head home, leading to muted celebrations from the Welshman.
Olivier Giroud looked to add a second for the Gunners just before the break having been found by Kieran Gibbs, but his left-footed shot from a difficult angle was blocked.
