Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Monday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Arsenal will be looking to continue their impressive start to the 2020-21 campaign when they travel to Premier League champions Liverpool on Monday night.

The Gunners beat the Reds in the Community Shield at the end of last month, while they progressed in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night courtesy of a 2-0 success at Leicester City.

Mikel Arteta's side have also made a perfect start to their 2020-21 Premier League season, beating Fulham and West Ham United to put an early six points on the board.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the London outfit's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash at Anfield.

Kieran Tierney

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Liverpool)

Kieran Tierney was withdrawn from the Arsenal XI before the clash with West Ham due to a muscular problem, but the issue is not thought to be serious and he should be available to return against Liverpool.

Shkodran Mustafi

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Shkodran Mustafi is not expected to be available for selection until at least the middle of October as he continues his recovery from a hamstring operation.

Pablo Mari

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

The centre-back is not too far away from recovering from the ankle injury that he picked up against Manchester City immediately after the lockdown period, but he will again be unavailable to face Liverpool.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: Unknown

Emile Smith Rowe picked up a shoulder problem during a training session earlier this month, which required him to spend a few days in a protective sling. The attacker will not be available to face Liverpool but should return to the training field early next month.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Gabriel Martinelli is a long-term absentee for the Gunners after undergoing knee surgery in the middle of July. The Brazilian could return to training before the end of the year but is not expected to be available for selection until at least the early stages of 2021.

Calum Chambers

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Calum Chambers is still recovering from the serious knee injury that he picked up last December. The Englishman could return to training before the end of 2020, although it seems unlikely that he will be able to feature for Arteta's side until next year.

Cedric Soares

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Liverpool)

Cedric Soares was not included against Leicester on Wednesday due to a slight calf injury, but the issue is not expected to rule him out of Monday's clash with Liverpool.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Liverpool)

Sokratis, who is yet to represent the Gunners this season, could also be available to take on Liverpool. The Greek has been on the sidelines with a calf issue but is believed to be in the final stages of his recovery.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this encounter.
