Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Newcastle United on February 16.

Following a run of four successive Premier League draws, Arsenal return to action on February 16 with a home match against Newcastle United.

The Gunners have played out draws with Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Chelsea and Burnley over the past month to lose further ground on the top four.

There are plenty of positives for new boss Mikel Arteta to build on, however, as his side prepare to welcome Newcastle after their two-week winter break in the Far East.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Calum Chambers

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Calum Chambers will not feature again this season after suffering a knee ligament injury which is expected to keep him out until August at the earliest.

Kieran Tierney

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion)

Kieran Tierney has not fared well on the injury front since his summer move to Arsenal, and he is currently sidelined until mid-March with a dislocated shoulder.

Reiss Nelson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Newcastle United)

Arteta confirmed ahead of the Burnley draw that Reiss Nelson is unlikely to feature again until after the winter break, meaning that he could be back in time for the match against Newcastle.

Cedric Soares

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Newcastle United)

Cedric Soares joined Arsenal on an initial loan deal from Southampton at the end of the January window and is currently nursing a knee injury. Arteta expects the full-back to return in the second half of February, leaving him touch and go for the visit of Newcastle.

Sead Kolasinac

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Newcastle United)

Sead Kolasinac has missed the Gunners' last four games through injury, but he is expected to return to training during the winter break.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match. David Luiz and Lucas Torreira have received four yellow cards each this term and are the players most at risk of suspension.
