Arsene Wenger has revealed that he expects Aaron Ramsey to miss around a month's worth of action for Arsenal with a thigh injury.
The Welsh midfielder suffered the problem in the Gunners' FA Cup fifth-round replay win over Hull City on Tuesday night.
Speaking at a press conference today ahead of the quarter-final at home to Watford on Sunday, Wenger said that Ramsey's injury was worse than he first feared.
"No, he's not out for the season," Wenger told reporters. "I don't think that.
"His clinical signs are quite positive, and I would say four weeks. It's a bit worse than what I thought because usually when a player gets injured he stops - I had the feeling it was just a precaution and he would be fit for Sunday."
However, Wenger also said that centre-backs Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista, both of whom failed to last 90 minutes against Hull, could be fit to face the Hornets, while Laurent Koscielny may also return from his calf injury.
