Arsenal have concerns about missing a trio of players ahead of their EFL Cup semi-final with Liverpool.

The Gunners were knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round by Nottingham Forest at the weekend, and there were several key members of the squad unavailable.

Emile Smith Rowe missed the match due to a groin injury, Takehiro Tomiyasu was dealing with a calf problem, meanwhile, Granit Xhaka has had a positive COVID-19 result.

"I do not know. It will depend in the next few days how he is feeling," Mikel Arteta told the press about Xhaka's status for the Liverpool fixture.

The Arsenal boss also spoke about the other injuries: "Again, it depends how they evolve. They were injured. We have to see in the next few days how they are."

The Gunners will travel to Anfield on Thursday to face Liverpool in the first leg of their semi-final, with the original game having to be rearranged due to COVID-19.
