Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will reportedly be unavailable for selection in Arsenal's 2021-22 Premier League opener away to Brentford on Friday night.
The Gabon international has been heavily involved in his side's preparations for the new season and was expected to be in the starting XI against the newly-promoted side.
However, according to Goal, Aubameyang has not trained with Arsenal for the last two days and is now set to miss out on the clash with Thomas Frank's side.
The report claims that the 31-year-old has been unwell this week, meaning that head coach Mikel Arteta has had to change his plans at the last minute for the season opener at Brentford Community Stadium.
Aubameyang has scored 85 times and registered 19 assists in 148 appearances for Arsenal since making the move to the Emirates Stadium in January 2018.
The experienced forward struggled to show his best form last term, though, despite scoring a respectable 15 goals in 39 outings in all competitions for the Gunners.
