Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reveals that striker Gabriel Jesus and midfielder Leroy Sane could play a part in Sunday's EFL Cup final against Arsenal.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that striker Gabriel Jesus and midfielder Leroy Sane could play a part in Sunday's EFL Cup final against Arsenal.

Jesus damaged his knee in a goalless draw with Crystal Palace in December, while Sane has made two brief appearances since suffering an ankle injury.

City boss Guardiola told Sky Sports News that the decision to play both players resides with him, adding that the pair could feature if the Spaniard 'lets them'.

"I think they will be ready to play, if I let them," Guardiola said. "They will be fit. Leroy because he is a little bit better and Gabriel because it is mentality. He is a young guy and he is strong. He is a guy who will be ready.

"In the first finals you are more nervous than the next one. I try to say to the players, 'Try to play more like in a friendly game, to be more calm'. But also there has to be more courage

"I think it's a game we have to try to enjoy the most, it's a final. We are here to play these types of game, so why to be nervous? Why worry about the win. It's just a game."

City are chasing a treble of trophies this season, after their hopes of four crowns were ended by Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup.
