New Arsenal signing Santi Cazorla has revealed that former Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas encouraged him to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger completed a deal for the Spanish winger earlier today after a long pursuit, which began before Cazorla's move to Malaga in 2011.
"Everyone who has played here such as Cesc Fabregas and Robert Pires have spoken very highly about the club," the 27-year-old told Arsenal Player.
"I think it's one of the greatest clubs in Europe, it is always fighting for silverware and just for those reasons it is worth trying to play at this club and in the Premier League."
Cazorla has signed a long-term contract with Arsenal after joining for a fee in the region of £16m.
