Arsenal are reportedly working on their first offer of a contract extension for attacker Bukayo Saka.
The 20-year-old has continued to thrive under the tutelage of Mikel Arteta and has nine goals and five assists to his name from 28 Premier League games this term.
Saka's existing deal at Arsenal is due to expire in the summer of 2024, and the England international's form has supposedly attracted the attention of both Liverpool and Manchester City.
Arteta's side are expected to tie Saka down to a new deal, though, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Gunners are planning on their opening proposal.
Romano adds that Saka is "really happy" at the Emirates Stadium, and the two parties will discuss fresh terms once the campaign concludes as Saka seeks to help Arsenal qualify for the Champions League.
Saka's new deal could supposedly see his wages at Arsenal quadruple, and the Hale End graduate now has 21 goals and 27 assists from 121 matches for his boyhood club.
However, Saka was forced to pull out of the England squad for March's friendlies with Switzerland and Ivory Coast after testing positive for COVID-19. body check tags ::
