Arsenal have confirmed that they will be appealing UEFA's decision to hand Arsene Wenger a two-match ban.
The manager was given the punishment this morning - as well as a €10,000 fine - after breaking rules and communicating with his team during his ban from their Champions League qualifier last week.
The ruling means that Wenger will be sidelined for the second leg of the qualifier with Udinese on Wednesday night.
UEFA had given Arsenal three days to appeal the ban, but in a quick statement issued this afternoon, the club said: "Arsenal Football Club intends to appeal this decision."
