Arsenal are to hand manager Arsene Wenger an extension to his current contract as a reward for their impressive start to the season, according to reports.
The Gunners moved to the top of the Premier League table with a 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday evening, four days after they beat German champions Bayern Munich 2-0 to reignite their Champions League campaign in midweek.
According to the The Mirror, the 66-year-old will be rewarded for Arsenal's strong start to their domestic season with a new two-year extension to his current deal which runs out in 2017.
The report goes on to claim that the Frenchman has also been assured that he will have money available to him if he wants to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.
Arsenal have not won a league title under Wenger in 11 years, although they did secure the FA Cup trophy for a second consecutive season in May.
