Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed that he was left impressed with the performance of Shkodran Mustafi against Burnley.
In recent weeks, Mustafi has made a mistake which directly resulted in a goal being conceded against Chelsea, as well as sustaining an ankle injury which was supposed to keep him sidelined for a number of weeks.
However, the German contributed to Arsenal keeping a clean sheet at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon, leading to his manager praising the "courage" of the centre-back.
Arteta is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "I said to him that he could make a mistake but I like his reaction afterwards and the courage he had to play and make decisions.
"He's been training really well and I think you could see today how good he was."
The 27-year-old has made just 11 starts and two substitute appearances in all competitions this season.
