Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen to add Manchester City coach Rodolfo Borrell to his backroom staff at Arsenal.
With discussions having been held in recent days, Arteta is expected to be confirmed as the new Gunners manager within the next 24 hours.
While City have accepted Arteta's desire to take on a senior position at the Emirates Stadium, it is being suggested that the Spaniard may look to prise away at least one of his long-standing colleagues.
The Mirror claims that the former midfielder wishes to take compatriot Borrell with him to North London.
During his time at Barcelona, Borrell played a leading role in the development of the likes of Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta.
As it stands, it is unclear whether City will give the green light to another departure at this stage of the campaign.
