Former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly been left out of the Gunners' travelling party for their warm-weather training camp in Dubai.
The Gabon international has been frozen out of the squad since being stripped of the armband last month and may have played his final game in an Arsenal shirt.
Aubameyang is back in London after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations following a post-COVID health scare, in spite of separate reports claiming that the former Borussia Dortmund man and Mario Lemina had been sent home for behavioural problems.
Despite reassuring fans that his heart is fine, The Telegraph reports that Aubameyang - who was left out of the squad for the weekend's encounter with Burnley - will not be travelling to Dubai with the squad during the winter break.
The report adds that Aubameyang will continue to train individually in London amid links with a move elsewhere, and he is 'shocked' at the scale of punishment that Mikel Arteta has given him.
A permanent transfer to Saudi Arabia supposedly does not appeal to Aubameyang, whose contract with the Gunners now has just 18 months left to run.
The 32-year-old boasts a total of 92 goals and 21 assists in 163 games for Arsenal but only has four strikes to his name from 14 Premier League matches this season. body check tags ::
