Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has apologised to Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal for elbowing him in the face during Sunday's Premier League encounter.
Monreal suffered a cut to his forehead during the Gunners' 3-0 win at the Emirates, but Crouch has insisted that his actions weren't malicious.
"It was totally accidental and I have apologised to him," the Daily Star quotes Crouch as saying.
"I did catch him with my arm, but I did not mean it at all. I have said sorry to him during the game and also afterwards as well."
Meanwhile, Crouch has reiterated his desire to stay at the Britannia and hopes that he is offered a new deal when his existing one expires in the summer.
