Mathieu Debuchy has suggested that Arsenal took one step closer to a Premier League title by signing goalkeeper Petr Cech.
The Czech made a controversial £10m switch to the Gunners from London rivals Chelsea last month, signing a four-year deal with the North London club.
The 33-year-old helped the Blues to four league titles during his 11-year stint - an ever-present figure in three of those triumphs - and his new teammate says that he can inspire Arsenal to similar successes.
"Petr is a very good keeper with massive experience. He has a lot of quality and is a complete goalkeeper," he told Arsenal's official website.
"I think [Arsenal can challenge for the Premier League] and I hope so too. We have all the chance to win the Premier League."
Cech is expected to face his former club in August when Arsene Wenger's side - who won the FA Cup last season - face league champions Chelsea in the Community Shield.
