Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has hinted that he could fill in as a makeshift defender due to the club's current shortage at the back.
Gabriel Paulista and Laurent Koscielny were left behind by manager Arsene Wenger for their two-match pre-season tour of the United States, while fellow centre-back Per Mertesacker has been ruled out for "a few months" through injury.
Calum Chambers and new signing Rob Holding are now the only recognised central defenders on the tour, but Coquelin revealed that he had been playing in the position during training.
"I've been playing centre-back and I've been bossing it," he told the club's official Snapchat account.
Arsenal will take on the MLS All-Star team tonight.
