Olivier Giroud is hopeful that he can help Arsenal end their long-awaited hunt for a trophy after completing his move to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners confirmed the reported £13m signing of the Montpellier striker, who was the top scorer in Ligue 1 last season, earlier today.
Giroud has acknowledged the strength of the Premier League but is confident that Arsenal can claim top honours in the near future after seven years without a trophy.
"There is a good spirit here, and that is another reason why I chose this club," Giroud told the club's official website.
"It is difficult in England because there are so many big teams, but that is what gives it its charm, what makes it beautiful.
"I am confident in the potential of the group and I am convinced that in the future, hopefully next season, we can win something."
Giroud failed to score in three substitute appearances for France at Euro 2012.
