Olivier Giroud has insisted that Arsenal can mount a serious Premier League title challenge next season.
The Gunners, who finished the last campaign in fourth place in the table, have not been crowned champions of England since 2004.
However, Giroud is confident that a good start could see them sit at the top of the standings in May.
"If we start better than we did this season, I know that we will compete for the title next year because we are used to playing together now and have improved as a team," Giroud is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
Giroud scored 17 goals for Arsenal last season following a £13m summer move from Montpellier.
