Arsenal's rising star Alex Iwobi has revealed that teammate Danny Welbeck has played a large role in his emergence this season.
The 19-year-old midfielder has emerged as a rare positive in an otherwise gloomy couple of months in which the Gunners' trophy prospects have faded.
The Nigeria international netted his first two league goals for the club against Everton and Watford in recent weeks, as well as producing an excellent display at Barcelona in the Champions League.
Welbeck knows a thing or two about expectancy at such a young age, having come through at Manchester United under the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
"Danny Welbeck has taken me under his wing," he said to Arsenal's official site.
"He's been helping me a lot because he is a young English player that came through at Manchester United, so he knows what it's like.
"He came through at a young age so he is always helping me or having banter with me and making me feel comfortable. I think it is key [to feel comfortable] and they have all welcomed me."
Both are expected to start when the Gunners host West Bromwich Albion in North London tonight.
