Former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu believes that Arsene Wenger's side have the credentials to win the Premier League title this season.
The Nigerian won two league titles with the Gunners between 1999 and 2004, but the capital outfit have not won the English championship since Kanu departed.
When questioned whether this could be Arsenal's season, the 39-year-old was confident about his former club's chances.
"Yes. It's all to do with belief and the heart the players have. When I played there we had a lot of leaders, captains. Every player was a captain. They have to have players who stand up and push the others," he told BBC Sport.
"Arsenal is a big club, without a trophy it will be a let down. If they move in the right direction they will win the league. Why not?"
Arsenal's next league match is at home to Liverpool on Monday evening.
