USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann has said that he wants to call up Arsenal youngster Gedion Zelalem if FIFA will allow it.
The midfielder was born in Berlin and played for Germany at youth level, but lived in America for seven years before signing for Arsenal in 2013.
"He is a special case. I think he is already at a level that he can definitely play with the senior team," Klinsmann told the Daily Mail.
"Definitely I would like to see him with me first. I want to see how he interacts with the whole group and what level he is in. For the next dates, I am totally open to have him in the Under-23s."
Zelalem is yet to play for Arsenal in the Premier League but made an appearance in their Champions League match against Galatasaray in November.
