Andre Marriner has been appointed as the referee for Saturday's Premier League clash between Southampton and Newcastle United.
It had been suggested that the English official would be relieved of his duties this weekend after he was embroiled in controversy at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the clash between Chelsea and Arsenal.
Marriner dismissed English left-back Kieran Gibbs for handball during Arsenal's 6-0 defeat to Chelsea, despite replays showing that it was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain that had made contact with his hand.
The referee later apologised for mistaken identity and has not been subsequently punished by the Premier League.
