After confirming that all players should be fit and available for the encounter, Arteta took the opportunity to hail Sunday's game as a momentous one in Arsenal's calendar.

Speaking to the media ahead of the North London derby, Arteta said: "It's the most special game of the season at home. We know how much it means. I will make sure they [the players] understand what it means."

The Gunners enter the derby having just trounced AFC Wimbledon 3-0 in the EFL Cup following back-to-back Premier League wins over Burnley and Norwich City.
