Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain sets himself the target of adding more goals to his game between now and the end of the season for Arsenal.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has conceded that he should score more goals for the club.

The England international has found the net on just one occasion for the Gunners this season and that came during a Capital One Cup tie with League One side Coventry City.

Having studied his statistics so far, the 19-year-old has insisted that he must do better between now and the end of the campaign.

"For me, I want to be getting more goals and more assists so I am always beating myself up when I don't, like against Reading," he is quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard. "I guarantee I will always give 100% and will try to get on the scoresheet a bit more as well. I am never happy with myself.

"I know I have got quite a good shot so when an opportunity comes about and I don't hit the target or make the keeper work, I'm not a happy boy.

"But I think that is the best way to get the best out of me. I am always hard on myself and trying to push myself to do more and I'm sure the fans are doing that to me, too, as I'm finding out."

Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Arsenal from Southampton in the summer of 2011.
