Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was reportedly targeted by an angry supporter who invaded the Emirates pitch during the team's friendly with Benfica on Saturday.
The male supporter disrupted the first half of the Emirates Cup match, which ended in a 5-2 victory on home soil.
It is believed that the disgruntled fan headed towards Wenger on the touchline before he was brought down by stewards and led towards the exit.
According to the Daily Mail, as the pitch invader was being escorted from the ground, he launched verbal abuse at Wenger, and the Frenchman responded with some words of his own.
The 67-year-old divided opinion among supporters last season, with some keen for him to end his lengthy tenure while others stood by him.
After guiding the Gunners to a record 13th FA Cup, Wenger signed a new two-year contract.
