Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Harry Kane has returned to the club following his holiday.
The England captain did not turn up to pre-season training on Monday or Tuesday of last week, leading to speculation that he refused to train as Manchester City seek to secure his signature.
However, Kane took to social media to rubbish those claims, and Santo has now affirmed that the 28-year-old is back in the fold ahead of the new season.
Speaking at a press conference following his side's 1-0 pre-season win over Arsenal, Santo said: "Harry is with us. He has to quarantine at The Lodge but he has already done his first day with the sports scientists, but he is with us. I will speak with Harry as soon as possible."
A 79th-minute strike from Son Heung-min gave Spurs a narrow win over Arsenal in front of the Tottenham faithful on Sunday, and Nuno paid tribute to his side's performance.
"It was a good game. I think we started really well. Plenty of combinations and covering the game well. We lost control a bit but we finished the second half pretty well. Finishing games stronger is what we're trying to improve," Santo added.
A recent report claimed that Kane has already agreed personal terms over a move to City, though, while Daniel Levy is still thought to want at least £140m for the attacker. body check tags ::
