Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs is expected to be out until Christmas after it was revealed that he needs hernia surgery.
The 22-year-old was initially ruled out for two weeks after he picked up a stomach injury during training.
However, the left-back now needs to go under the knife to sort out the problem.
The Gunners travel to Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.
