Speaking after conceding late on in the 2-2 home draw with Manchester City, Wojciech Szczesny says that Arsenal were "very disappointed not to have won the game".

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny believes that the Gunners deserved to win their Premier League clash with Manchester City yesterday.

The home side led 2-1 until the 83rd minute, but a late header from Martin Demichelis rescued a point for the champions in an entertaining 2-2 drawat the Emirates Stadium.

"It was a very entertaining game for the fans," Szczesny told the clubs official Facebook page. "It was very attacking and both teams would have been disappointed with the defending. Both teams had fantastic pace going forward and in counter attacks we both looked dangerous so there was always goals in this game."

"I think the fact that we're very disappointed not to have won the game - we believe we deserved to have won it - speaks for itself. I thought we were the better team, we created more chances and we controlled the game for the majority.

"The only disappointment is the result because whoever comes to the stadium we are confident of winning three points, but that didn't happen today. I think we matched them and were probably a little bit better, so that's a plus."

The result means that Arsenal have won just one of their first four league games this season.
