Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has said that he does not see the club's 4-3 aggregate defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League as a failure.
The Gunners, who were four goals down at the beginning of the second leg, scored three unanswered strikes at the Emirates against their Italian opponents, but were unable to find a fourth to take the game to extra time.
"I don't see that as a failure at all," he told The Sun.
"I think 99 percent see it as a great evening of football and how brilliant it was for us to bounce back.
"I am so proud that we came back and made such a magnificent result. We had a real go and we came so close."
Meanwhile, Arsenal are in fourth place in the Premier League.
