Arsenal attacker Sanchez Watt believes that he has benefited greatly from his loan spells away from the club last season.
The 21-year-old spent six months away from the Emirates with Football League sides Crawley Town and Sheffield Wednesday.
Reflecting on both stints, Watt has revealed that he learnt a number of things that will help him as his career progresses.
"Being away teaches you to be independent and not rely on the best facilities we have at London Colney," the former England youth international told the club's official website. "You have to be more of an individual to go out there and do your thing.
"The loan spells were good experiences but sometimes things happen and a lot changed. I am always learning from other players in different environments and it was good."
Watt has made three senior appearances for the Gunners.
