Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised Gedion Zelalem following the youngster's appearance in the club's pre-season friendly win over Nagoya Grampus.
The 16-year-old midfielder set up Theo Walcott to score the Gunners' third goal during the 3-1 victory in Japan on Monday.
"He's a young player who develops well," Wenger told the club's official website.
"Pre-season helps us to give a chance to these players, to get them to realise what it demands to be at the top level.
"He is improving very quickly and he had another appearance, that's good for his development."
Arsenal continue their tour of Asia against Urawa Red Diamonds on Friday.
