Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has played down speculation linking him with a move for Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy this summer.
The France international was in attendance to watch the Gunners beat West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon, having been linked with a £12m switch to North London earlier this week.
However, Wenger insists that Remy's appearance was a coincidence and claimed that he did not invite the 27-year-old.
"Honestly I have just been informed that Loic Remy was here, I didn't know," he told Sky Sports News. "So don't see any sign of us signing Loic Remy in that. I hope he has paid for his ticket!
"No [I didn't invite him], that's why I tell you I have not invited him."
Remy, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United, has hit 14 goals for the Magpies this season.
