Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirms that he will take a month off after leaving the Gunners at the end of the season before deciding on his next career move.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he will take a month off at the end of the season before making a decision on his next career move.

Earlier this month, the Frenchman confirmed that he will stand down from his role after almost 22 years in charge at the club.

Wenger has not yet revealed whether he plans to retire from the game, look for a manager's job elsewhere or take another role in football.

Indeed, the 68-year-old admits that he does not know what his next career step might be and will mull over his options for a number of weeks.

"Once I've finished honestly I don't know," Wenger told Sky Sports News.

"I am confused a little bit at the moment and I have decided to take a little distance for four or five weeks before I make a decision.

"I need to move away a little bit to take perspective on my situation and analyse it in the most objective way possible, even if it is not easy. I will then decide where I go from there."

Arsenal face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, before travelling to Atletico Madrid for their Europa League semi-final second leg, having drawn the first match 1-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
