Jack Wilshere will today find out whether or not he is to be hit with a punishment by the Football Association for a gesture he made to Manchester City fans at the weekend.
The midfielder was caught displaying his middle finger to the home supporters at the Etihad Stadium during his side's 6-3 defeat.
Wilshere could now face disciplinary action from English football's governing body for the incident, as they will fully review referee Martin Atkinson's match report before coming to a decision, but are rumoured to be attempting to gain more evidence for the case.
Under their own disciplinary regulations, the FA have until 6pm on Tuesday to lodge any formal charge against the player, although the England international can request a personal hearing following the result.
Luis Suarez was slapped with a one-match ban and a £20,000 fine in December 2011 for a similar offense to home fans after Liverpool lost at Fulham.
Should Wilshere get hit with a similar punishment, then he would miss Arsenal's clash in the Premier League on Monday with Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
